Greg was born on a farm in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania into a family that has held the traditions of family farming for more than 5 generations. Greg grew up driving tractors, making hay, raising steers, swine and sheep. He is conversational in "Pennsylvania Dutch." He was a member of 4-H and FFA. He holds a degree in Animal Industries from the Pennsylvania State University. He has worked as a farm manager, a Vo-Ag educator, a loan officer and staff appraiser with Farm Credit.

Greg Snyder, ARA earned his Pennsylvania General Appraisal Certification in 1994 and established Snyder Appraisal Associates in 2000. Greg is one of only three appraisers in Pennsylvania to hold the designation of Accredited Rural Appraise (ARA) from the ASFMRA. He is the past president of the Northeast Chapter of the ASFMRA.

As part of his ongoing commitment to providing quality appraisals, Greg earns on average 45 continuing education credits annually, more than double the number required for certification.
